If you’re staying in Benidorm with the kids and looking for a fun day out, DinoPark Algar is an absolute must-visit! Just a short drive from town, this park is full of incredible life-size dinosaur models that will amaze the little ones for hours.

It’s a fun, educational day out – your little ones will have a blast while actually learning a lot about their favourite prehistoric creatures (yes, there is a T.rex!). With a 3D cinema, play areas, a paleontological dig site, and much more, it offers a welcome break from the usual, more popular activities in Benidorm.
You can buy tickets online through Get Your Guide to DinoPark Algar – adults cost from £17 and kids from £12 (children under 4 are FREE!):
Where is the DinoPark Algar?
DinoPark Algar sits near Callosa d’en Sarrià, just 17 km from Benidorm and 8 km from Altea. It’s nestled in a stunning natural area only 1 km from the famous Algar Waterfalls, making it an easy trip if you’re staying anywhere along this part of the Costa Blanca.
Things to do at DinoPark Algar
The star attractions are definitely the massive dinosaur models scattered throughout the park. These aren’t just static displays – they move and roar! The kids will be amazed at how realistic they look and sound.
Each dinosaur comes with information boards, so the little ones can learn fascinating facts about these prehistoric creatures while having fun.
The park’s main attraction is its collection of dinosaur models – some robotic that move and make sounds, others static but incredibly detailed. As you walk through the grounds, you’ll encounter dinosaurs of all sizes positioned among the vegetation.
3D cinema
Your ticket includes access to the park’s 3D cinema, where you can watch a film created just for DinoPark. The 3D effects are brilliant and really bring the dinosaur world to life. It’s a great way to cool down during the hottest part of the day.
Paleontological playground
This is such a hit with the kids! They can pretend to be real paleontologists and dig for dinosaur bones in the sand. The park provides brushes and shovels, and the little ones can spend ages carefully uncovering hidden skeletons.
Children’s play areas
There are plenty of swings, monkey bars and other play equipment dotted around the park. In summer, there is also a pool your kids can cool off at – so consider packing swimming gear!
Wollemia Nobilis tree
This might not sound exciting to kids, but the Wollemi Pine in the park is actually quite incredible. It’s a species that scientists thought was extinct until they found some growing in Australia in 1994. These trees lived alongside dinosaurs 175 million years ago!
Journey to Earth’s Past exhibit
This small pavilion houses real fossils from different periods of Earth’s history. You can see actual prehistoric scorpions, fossilised dragonfly wings, and lots more ancient bits and pieces. There’s even a mock paleontological dig site.
DinoCafe
For when you want to grab a bite to eat or drink – there’s a fully serviced cafe in the park itself.
