Torrevieja’s coastline is perfect for jet skiing. The waters are generally calm and clear, making it ideal for those who have never gone on a jet ski, while still offering plenty of excitement for those who’ve done it before.

I know what some of you are thinking – “do I need a licence?” or “what if I’ve never been on a jet ski?” The great thing is you can jump straight onto a guided jet ski tour without any previous experience. Professional instructors handle everything, so you can focus on the fun part!

Guided jet ski tour without licence required

Book your Torrevieja jet ski tour from €80 per person here

This is hands down the most popular option, and for good reason. Starting from €80 per person, you’ll get a guided tour of Torrevieja’s coastline with a qualified instructor leading the way.

What you’ll see:

  • El Cura beach and its stunning surroundings
  • La Mata beach – Torrevieja’s largest beach
  • Los Locos beach with its unique rock formations
  • Cabo Cervera’s more remote coastal areas
  • Hidden coves perfect for a refreshing swim

The tour includes everything you need – life jacket, fuel, insurance, and most importantly, an instructor who’ll be with you every step of the way. You’ll start with a safety briefing and basic training session, so even complete beginners feel confident getting out on the water.

You can choose between a 30-minute experience if you want a quick taste of jet skiing, or go for the full 60-minute tour if you really want to make the most of it.

I’d personally recommend the longer option – once you’re out there, you won’t want it to end!

What to expect on your jet ski tour

Your adventure starts with a comprehensive safety briefing. The instructors will teach you how to operate the jet ski, what signals to watch for, and basic safety procedures. Don’t worry if you’ve never done anything like this before; they’re used to complete beginners.

Once you’re comfortable with the basics, you’ll head out onto the water. The sensation of speeding across the Mediterranean is absolutely exhilarating! Your guide will take you along the coastline, pointing out landmarks and stopping at the best spots for photos and swimming.

The swimming stops are a real highlight. There’s nothing quite like jumping off your jet ski into crystal-clear Mediterranean waters, surrounded by beautiful coves that most tourists never get to see.

Throughout the tour, you’ll have some free time to ride independently within the designated area. This is when it gets really fun – you can open up the throttle a bit more and experience the full thrill of jet skiing.

When to book your jet ski experience

The jet ski season in Torrevieja typically runs from April through October, with peak season being July and August. I’d actually recommend visiting in May, June, or September if possible – the weather’s still gorgeous, but the waters are less crowded and you’ll have more space to enjoy yourself.

Morning tours tend to offer calmer water conditions, which is perfect if you’re a beginner. Afternoon tours can be more exciting with slightly choppier conditions, plus you’ll get that beautiful golden hour light for photos.

Other water activities in Torrevieja

If you’re loving the water-based activities, Torrevieja has a lot to offer. You’ll find paddleboard rentals, Torrevieja boat trips to Tarbarca island, and some fantastic snorkelling spots along the coast.

The area around La Mata beach is particularly good for water sports, with several rental shops and activity centres all within walking distance of each other.
