Tips for Golfing Near Calpe

From my experience, here are some helpful tips:

  1. Book tee times in advance during peak season
  2. Consider playing early morning in the summer months
  3. Take advantage of twilight rates for better deals
  4. Bring plenty of water – especially at Don Cayo with its elevation changes
  5. Most courses require soft spikes

Best Time to Play

Considering the Calpe weather, the best time to play golf is from:

  • March to May: Perfect temperatures and courses in prime condition
  • September to November: Still warm but not too hot, fewer crowds

Summer can be quite intense as the course becomes too hot during the daytime, so if you’re playing between June and August, I’d definitely recommend an early morning tee time or twilight round.

Getting There

All these courses are easily accessible from Calpe:

  • Golf Ifach: 20 minutes by car
  • Don Cayo: 16 minutes by car
  • La Sella: 30 minutes by car
  • Most hotels can arrange transport
  • Calpe taxis are readily available
