Pide Taxi app

The easiest way to book a taxi in Alicante is through the Pide Taxi app. This handy app connects you with any Radio Taxi service in the city and has some brilliant features that make getting around so much simpler.

You can download it here:

You can calculate the approximate price of your trip before you book, which means no nasty surprises when you reach your destination. You can also schedule services in advance, which might be handy if you need to book a taxi to the airport.

Is Uber or Bolt available in Alicante?

Unfortunately, services like Uber or Bolt aren’t currently available in Alicante. Your best options are the Pide Taxi app or calling one of the local taxi companies directly.

Taxi rank locations in Alicante

You’ll find taxi ranks all around Alicante city centre and the old town. Look out for the blue signs that say “Taxi” – sometimes there’s even a small waiting area where you can sit.

If you’re near any of these locations, you can easily grab a taxi to take you around the city or further out to places like Benidorm or the airport:

Alicante taxi costs

Most taxi companies in Alicante use meters, which means you’ll pay a base charge plus a rate per kilometre. The rates are usually different for day and night journeys, as well as weekends and public holidays.

Most taxis accept card or contactless payment these days, but it’s always worth double-checking with your driver before you start your trip to avoid any awkward moments at the end!

Alicante taxi airport transfers

All of the taxi services listed above can take you to and from Alicante Airport. You can book this directly with them, though I’d recommend calling ahead to secure your ride.

A standard taxi from Alicante city centre to the airport typically costs around €25-30, depending on the time of day and your exact pickup location. The journey takes about 20-25 minutes in normal traffic.

If you’re heading to Benidorm or other towns along the Costa Blanca, expect to pay more – a taxi to Benidorm will cost around €60+ and take about 45 minutes.
