Aqualandia is a water park in Benidorm which is one of the top attractions on the Costa Blanca and a must-visit for families and groups of friends wanting to cool off in the Spanish sun. It it now open for the summer season until September 28th 2025.

Aqualandia is located in Benidorm, on Spain’s sunny Costa Blanca. The water park sits right next to Mundomar marine animal park on the Sierra Helada mountains, giving you wonderful views of the Mediterranean Sea while you splash about!

Here are the top attractions you shouldn’t miss:
Verti-Go
Hold your breath for this one! Verti-Go features two massive slides standing at 28 and 33 metres high. The taller slide is the highest in Europe and the tallest slide-capsule in the world! You’ll reach speeds of up to 100 km/h as you drop almost straight down. This is an absolute must for anyone seeking a serious adrenaline rush!
Big-Bang
Fancy the feeling of freefall? The Big-Bang gives you exactly that! You’ll slide down a series of chutes and feel your stomach lurch as you drop from an incredible height. The sensation is unlike anything else in the park – and that’s saying something!
Cyclon
Standing 36 metres tall with a length of 200 metres, the Cyclon will take you through twists, turns, steep drops and sharp curves. The combination of height and speed makes this a fantastic ride for those who love variety in their thrills.
Adventureland
This area is perfect for the little ones in your group. Adventureland has been designed with children in mind, featuring smaller slides, water jets, ball pools, and a fun maze. It’s the ideal spot for younger children to burn off energy while staying safe in the water.
Rapids
An attraction everyone can enjoy! The Rapids offers an exciting shared experience as you bounce and splash your way down the course. Grab some friends or make new ones as you all race down together for a truly fun descent.
The Amazon
Need a breather after all those thrills? The Amazon is a gentle circular river where you can float along at your own pace. Grab an inflatable ring, lie back, and let the current do the work while you chat with friends or simply relax under the Spanish sun.
Zig-Zag
Can’t decide which slide to try? At Zig-Zag, you don’t have to choose! This attraction features five different criss-crossing slides, each offering its own exciting experience. Try them all to find your favourite – I bet you’ll end up going back for seconds!
When does Aqualandia open?
Aqualandia ia now open for the 2025 season until. The park typically operates until September, making it a brilliant attraction open all summer long.

During the main season (Late June to August):
- 10:00 to 20:00 daily
During May- mid June and the month of September:
- 10:00 to 17:00 daily
Attractions close 30 minutes before park closing time.

Tips for visiting Aqualandia
To make sure you have the best possible day at Aqualandia, here are my top tips:
- Arrive early to beat the crowds, especially during July and August
- Bring sun cream and reapply regularly – the Spanish sun is strong!
- Consider bringing water shoes as the ground can get very hot
- Pack a towel and a change of clothes
- Lockers are available to rent for storing your belongings
- There are plenty of food outlets in the park, but they can be pricey – you might want to eat a big breakfast before you go
- Height restrictions apply on many rides, so check these before promising little ones they can go on everything
- If visiting with small children, consider bringing flotation devices they’re familiar with
- Take breaks in the shade during the hottest part of the day (1-3pm)
Food and drink options
You’ll find plenty of places to eat and drink throughout Aqualandia:
- Several self-service restaurants offering burgers, pizza, sandwiches and other fast food which are priced between €10 and €15 per person
- Snack bars for ice cream and quick bites
- The Palapa bar for cocktails and drinks (adults only)
You can bring outside food and drinks, but not in glass containers. There are several picnic areas and benches to eat your own food.
Park facilities
The park offers all the facilities you’d expect for a comfortable day out:
- Sun loungers and umbrellas (though these get claimed quickly in peak season, and some need to be paid for)
- Lockers from €7 to store belongings
- Changing rooms with showers and lockers
- Gift shops for souvenirs and forgotten essentials
- ATMs located near the entrance
- First aid station with trained staff
Accessibility information
Aqualandia has made efforts to be accessible to visitors with mobility issues:

What about the weather?
It’s worth knowing that Aqualandia may close temporarily during thunderstorms for safety reasons. If the park closes for more than 2 hours due to bad weather, they typically offer a return visit on another day.
The good news is that rain is rare during summer in Benidorm, so this isn’t usually an issue!
How long to spend at Aqualandia
I’d recommend allowing a full day (at least 5-6 hours) to make the most of your visit. This gives you time to try all the attractions without rushing and take breaks for food and relaxation.
If you’re visiting with small children who might tire more quickly, a half-day might be sufficient.
