Find a map below showing the distance from Alicante Airport to Denia. Alicante Airport (ALC) is located about 104 kilometres (64 miles) southwest of Denia.

Alicante Airport Car rental
Just as you walk in to the Arrivals terminal from the luggage collection, walk to the right. You’ll immediately see all of the rental car services including Hertz, Goldcar, EuropCar Centauro, Okmobility and Firefly to pick up your car.
Queues will be long as there’s always a rush to the services after flights arrive.
My recommendation is to book your car online before you arrive, so you can save as much time as possible to collect your car and start your journey.
You can book online at RentalCars.com (affiliate link), which compares all of the available providers to find the best prices available and help you book for your trip.
Public Transport
There are buses travelling from Alicante Airport to Denia provided by Alsa which directly travel to Denia. This is a convenient option for most individuals or groups who want to travel for a cheap price and can’t rent a car.
This option can be either very fast if you can catch a direct bus, or take time if you have to wait around for the next direct bus. I highly encourage looking online and booking your bus in advance!
How to find the Alsa bus stop at Alicante
There are direct buses which conveniently run every hour from Floor 2. If you turn right out of any of the exits on Floor 2, you’ll see the bus stop. See above for the exact location.
Prices average around 15 euros a ticket per person, and can take from 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending how many stops there are.
Make sure you take the direct buses possible or one with as few stops. Avoid the buses which take 3-4 hours as there are tons of stops on the way and the journey doesn’t take that long!
If you buy a ticket online, you can filter by duration and see the bus that closely aligns with your arrival time.

Taxis from Alicante Airport to Denia
Getting a taxi to Denia is easy as there is a large taxi rink with plenty of taxis available on Level 0.
This is the most expensive option to travel from the airport to Denia, I recommend into looking into other options I’ve listed above as you’ll save a lot of money, or other benefits such as flexibility and convenience if you can rent your own car.
The taxi fare will start from €100+ as Denia is over an hour’s drive away from the airport, so make sure to speak to the taxi driver before you enter the taxi and discuss how much the trip will cost.
This will help you find price ranges or even determine a fixed price you’re happy with.
Taxis are located at Level 0 of Alicante airport, and you can usually find many of them waiting whenever you need a ride. See the image below of the airport taxi rank.
Depending on your group size and requirements, you’ll one transport method might be better than another.
- For individuals or couples: I recommend arranging your transport to Denia before the trip, either renting a car or using the Alsa bus as this will be far more cost-effective option than private transfers or taxis.
- For families and small groups: Again, I suggest renting a car for your trip, or looking into private transfer services which take you directly to your accommodation to make it a convenient and comfortable journey.
- For very large groups or companies: I recommend looking into Beniconnect’s private bus services, which cater to groups of up to 32 people. With more people, prices will be far more economical, or you can arrange a fixed bus to rent an entire bus. This would be the most cost-effective and convenient solution by far to reach Denia from Alicante airport.
I hope this is a helpful guide! I’ve written other travel guides, including on how to travel from Denia to Ibiza by ferry which may be a suitable alternative to flying.
