Looking for something fun to liven up your stay in Moraira? Luckily for you, there are some amazing water parks near Moraira, ideal if you’re looking for a fun day trip from Moraira with the family or a group of friends.

I’ve created this guide to show you all about the water parks near Moraira, with everything you need to know for planning your visit.
There are two main water parks within reach of Moraira, both located in Benidorm:
- Aqualandia (Closed until 24th May 2025 – buy Aqualandia tickets in advance here from €27 per person)
- Aqua Natura (OPEN NOW – buy Aqua Natura tickets here from €19 per person)
Aqua Natura in Benidorm
Aqua Natura is part of the Terra Natura wildlife park in Benidorm, which means you can mix water fun with animal watching if you fancy a two-in-one day out.
What makes Aqua Natura worth the trip from Moraira
What I really like about Aqua Natura is that it’s not overwhelmingly huge. Many water parks are so massive that you spend half your time walking between slides! At Aqua Natura, everything is close by, making it much easier with children or when the sun is blazing.
The park offers:
- A wave pool that comes to life every 30 minutes
- Multi-lane racing slides where you can challenge your friends and family
- A lazy river that winds around part of the park
- A kids’ water zone with smaller slides and plenty of splashing fun
Family tip: If you’re in Moraira with children between 3-8 years old, this park is ideal. The queues tend to be shorter than at the larger parks, and there are loads of lifeguards keeping an eye on everything.
Visit Aqua Natura if:
- You’re staying in Moraira with younger children
- You want a more laid-back day out
- You’d like to see the animals at Terra Natura too
- You’d rather avoid massive crowds and lengthy queues
Combined with Terra Natura zoo
One thing that makes Aqua Natura stand out is that it’s right next to the Terra Natura animal park. You can buy tickets that let you visit both in a single day – water fun in the morning and animals in the afternoon (or switch it around if you prefer).
After trying both ways round, I’d suggest doing the water park first and then visiting the animals. That way, you’re already wet and won’t mind wandering around in the afternoon warmth.
Getting to Aqua Natura from Moraira
Aqua Natura is about 38 kilometres from Moraira:
- By car: 40-45 minute drive via the AP-7 motorway
- By bus: Take a bus to Benidorm (about 55 mins), then a local bus or a quick taxi
When driving from Moraira, I suggest setting off early (around 9am) to beat the summer traffic on the AP-7.
Ticket prices and opening times
Adult tickets currently start at €19 per person until the peak summer season begins. If you plan to visit Terra Natura animal park as well, the combined tickets offer better value.
The park is now open for the summer season until mid-September, from 10am to 6pm, though times may vary slightly depending on when you visit.
Aqualandia in Benidorm
Aqualandia is one of Spain’s biggest and most famous water parks, based in Benidorm.
For Moraira visitors looking for more thrills and bigger slides, Aqualandia is definitely worth the extra few minutes in the car. It’s larger, has more variety, and offers far more steep slides and drops for thrill seekers.
What makes Aqualandia worth the trip from Moraira
This is the place for thrill-seekers! Aqualandia has some seriously impressive attractions and huge slides, including:
- The Big Bang (one of Europe’s highest water slides)
- Verti-Go (two slides, one a 28 metre high and another 33 metre high-vertical drop slide, only for the brave)
- Rapids
- Black Hole (a dark tunnel slide)
- Zig-Zag slides
- Several swimming pools
- Children’s areas for the little ones
There’s a mix of attractions for all ages (and courage levels). If you’re feeling brave, you absolutely must try the Big Bang slides – there are several, the yellow and blue slide reserved for the braves ones. And the Vertigo for the bravest – depending on your body mass, you can exceed more than 100km/hour speed!
Visit Aqualandia if:
- You’re staying in Moraira with teenagers or adults
- You want the biggest, most thrilling slides
- You don’t mind bigger crowds for a wider range of attractions
- You’re after a full day of water park fun
Ticket prices and opening times
Tickets for Aqualandia start from around €28 for adults, with reductions for children and seniors. The park opens on May 24th and stays open until mid-September, running from 10am to 7pm during the busiest times.
Getting there from Moraira
Aqualandia is approximately 36 kilometres from Moraira:
- By car: 40-minute drive south on the AP-7
- By public transport: Bus to Benidorm, then local bus or taxi (total journey around 1 hour 15 minutes)
From Moraira, the drive to Aqualandia is pretty straightforward once you’re on the AP-7, with clear signs as you get closer to Benidorm.
Tips for your water park visit
- Bring plenty of sun cream and reapply regularly (the Spanish sun is fierce, especially when you’re in and out of water)
- Take a towel and a change of clothes
- Wear flip flops or water shoes (the ground gets incredibly hot!)
- Consider bringing your own food if you’re visiting Aqualandia
- Arrive early to get good sun lounger spots and enjoy shorter queues
- If you’re visiting in July or August, be prepared for busier parks
A day at a water park is such a brilliant way to add some fun to your Moraira holiday. After spending a few days relaxing on Moraira’s lovely beaches, zooming down water slides is the perfect change of pace!
