Torrevieja Marina: A Complete Guide

If you’re looking for a spot that combines excellent dining, lively nightlife, and easy access to boat trips along the Costa Blanca, Torrevieja marina should be at the top of your list. This modern marina isn’t just a place to admire luxury yachts – it’s become one of the area’s best destinations for food lovers and anyone wanting to experience the Mediterranean lifestyle at its finest.

I’ve spent countless evenings here enjoying fantastic meals and watching the sunset over the water, and I’m excited to share everything you need to know about this brilliant marina.

Where is Torrevieja marina?

Torrevieja marina sits right in the heart of Torrevieja, making it incredibly easy to reach whether you’re staying in the town centre or visiting for the day. The marina is located along the town’s main waterfront, just a short walk from the central beaches and shopping areas.

If you’re driving, there’s plenty of parking available around the marina area. The location is perfect – you can easily combine a visit here with time on the beaches or a wander through Torrevieja’s main shopping streets.

What to do at Torrevieja marina

Walk along the promenade

The marina promenade is one of my favourite places for a leisurely stroll, especially in the early evening when the light is perfect for photos. The wooden walkway stretches out over the water, giving you amazing views of the marina and the Mediterranean beyond.

You’ll spot some interesting artwork along the way, including a striking bronze statue that’s become quite an Instagram favourite. The sculpture shows a figure with flowing robes, and it’s positioned perfectly with the marina and boats as a backdrop.

The promenade is wide and well-maintained, making it perfect for families with pushchairs or anyone who wants an easy, flat walk with stunning sea views. There are plenty of benches along the way if you want to sit and watch the boats coming and going – or see some seriously amazing boats and cool jetskis.

What I love most about the promenade is how it connects different parts of the marina area, so you can wander from the restaurants to the bars and then out towards the boat departure points without ever leaving the waterfront.

Torrevieja marina restaurants

The dining scene at the marina is absolutely fantastic. You’ll find everything from casual beachside eateries to upmarket restaurants with stunning sea views.

KEKAI Restaurant & Chill Out

This place has become a real favourite of mine! KEKAI is perfect for both breakfast and lunch, with an amazing atmosphere that keeps you coming back. The Spanish breakfast portions are huge and excellent value for money.

What I love most about KEKAI is the attention to detail – the staff genuinely care about making sure you have a great experience. The music selection is spot on, creating that perfect relaxed marina vibe without being too loud.

Their seafood paella is absolutely delicious, and if you’re not in the mood for traditional Spanish food, the salmon with vegetables is beautifully prepared. Make sure you save room for the cheesecake – it’s the perfect way to finish off a meal in the sun.

The tapas here are brilliant too, and there’s something magical about the music selection that gets everyone involved. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself tapping your feet or having a little sing-along!

Kiosko Isla

If you want seafood that’s as fresh as it gets, this is your place. Kiosko Isla serves fish straight from the boat onto your plate – you literally can’t get it any fresher than that.

The approach here is simple but effective: good, fresh seafood at great prices. It’s not fancy, but when the fish is this fresh and the prices are this reasonable, who needs fancy? It’s exactly what you want from a marina restaurant.

Torrevieja marina bars

The bar scene at the marina is lively and varied, perfect for everything from a quiet afternoon drink to a night out with friends.

You’ll find plenty of options along the waterfront, from casual beach bars to more sophisticated cocktail lounges. Many bars have outdoor seating with fantastic views over the marina and sea.

Marina Niki Beach Club

This is definitely the star attraction when it comes to nightlife at the marina! Niki Beach Club is where you can eat, drink, and dance the night away in spectacular surroundings.

What makes this place special is its incredible setting – there’s a pool right next to the sea in the marina, creating an almost resort-like atmosphere. The views are absolutely stunning, especially as evening approaches.

Throughout the summer months, Niki Beach Club hosts parties that go on well into the night. The atmosphere is electric, with great music, excellent cocktails, and that unbeatable Mediterranean backdrop. It’s become the go-to spot for anyone looking for a proper night out in Torrevieja.

The club attracts a fun, international crowd, and the parties are legendary among locals and visitors alike. If you’re planning to visit during summer, I’d definitely recommend checking out their event schedule.

Medusa Beach Club

Medusa Beach Club is a brilliant spot for a more relaxed evening. It’s become really popular with visitors who want somewhere stylish to enjoy cocktails and shisha.

The cocktails here are delicious, and they’ve got an impressive selection of shisha flavours if that’s your thing. What keeps people coming back year after year is the consistently good atmosphere – it’s the kind of place that just gets better with each visit.

The setting is perfect for watching the world go by in the marina, and it’s got that lovely relaxed vibe that makes you want to stay for just one more drink.

Boat trips from Torrevieja

One of the best things about visiting the marina is how easy it is to hop on a boat and see the coast from a completely different perspective.

Catamaran trips

The catamaran trips from Torrevieja marina are absolutely brilliant. These larger boats are perfect if you want a stable, comfortable ride with plenty of space to relax.

Most catamaran trips take you along the beautiful coastline, giving you amazing views of Torrevieja from the water and chances to see some of the more secluded beaches and coves that you can’t reach on foot.

Many trips include stops for swimming in crystal-clear waters, and some even include lunch or drinks on board. It’s a fantastic way to spend a day, especially if you’re travelling with a group.

Ferry to Tabarca island

This is one of my absolute favourite day trips from Torrevieja! The ferry to Tabarca island runs regularly from the marina and takes you to this tiny, protected island off the coast.

Tabarca is Spain’s smallest inhabited island and it’s absolutely magical. The water around the island is incredibly clear – perfect for snorkelling – and there are some lovely restaurants serving the freshest seafood you’ll ever taste.

The island has a fascinating history too, with old fortifications and narrow streets that are fun to wander around. It’s small enough to walk around in a couple of hours, but you’ll want to spend the whole day there just relaxing and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.

The ferry journey itself is part of the experience – you get beautiful views of the coastline as you head out to sea, and there’s always the chance of spotting dolphins along the way.

I’d recommend booking your ferry tickets in advance during peak season, and don’t forget to bring sun cream and plenty of water for your island adventure!
