Are you looking for fun things to do in Torrevieja during your trip? The local water park, Aquopolis, might be just what you’re looking for!

If you want to cool off from the Spanish sun and have some fun with water slides and pools, this guide will tell you everything you need to know and other water parks you can visit in towns nearby.

Aquopolis Torrevieja: the local water park

Aquopolis might not be the biggest water park in Spain, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in good, clean fun. It’s got a fantastic mix of fast, thrilling water slides for the brave ones and gentler options for those who prefer to take things a bit easier, or with younger ones.

What’s at Aquopolis Torrevieja?

Aquapolis packs in plenty of fun for a full day out.

Water slides for everyone

There’s a good range of slides that cater to all ages and thrill levels:

  • Speed & Kamikaze – These slides are for the thrillseekers! The steepest, fastest slides in the park
  • Black Hole – You twist through darkness before splashing at full speed into the pool below
  • Speed race – Great for a bit of family competition as you race down side by side

Pools and relaxation areas

When you need a break from the slides, there are several pool options:

  • Wave pool – Gets quite lively when the waves start going
  • Children’s pool – Shallow and safe with fun water features

Where is Aquapolis?

You’ll find Aquopolis just a short drive from the town centre at Avenida Delfina Viudes. If you’re staying in any of the holiday apartments or hotels in Torrevieja, you can get there in about 10 minutes by taxi or car. There’s a good sized car park if you’re driving yourself, and free to park in.

Visiting information

When to go

Aquopolis is open from 9th June 2025 until early September. Hours are usually 11:00 am to 5:30 pm daily, giving you plenty of time to make the most of your visit.

The park tends to be quietest in June and early September, and busiest in August when we have lots of holidaymakers visiting Torrevieja.

Aquapolis Torrevieja ticket prices

Adult tickets cost from £23.50 each, and child tickets cost from £19.50.

I’d strongly recommend booking your tickets online before you go – not only might you save a few euros, but you’ll also skip the queue at the entrance.

Aqualandia: the alternative in Benidorm

If you’re staying in Torrevieja for a longer holiday and fancy a bigger water park adventure, Benidorm’s water park, Aqualandia is worth knowing about. It’s much larger than the local Aquopolis, but it’s also a fair distance away – about an hour and 15 minutes by car.

Aqualandia has some huge slides and some of the highest in Europe, including the famous Verti-Go, and Kamikaze. It’s paired with Mundomar, an animal park next door, and you can buy combined tickets.

But honestly, unless you’re planning a full day trip to Benidorm, our local Aquopolis is much more convenient and still offers plenty of fun without the long drive. You’ll save more time for actually enjoying the water rather than sitting in the car!

My tips for Aquopolis

As a local, here’s what I’ve learned from many visits:

  • Tuesday and Wednesday are the quietest days – Avoid weekends if possible
  • Bring a hat – There’s some shade, but not loads
  • Book online – You can sometimes get discounts on their website
  • Take a mid-day break – I usually head to the snack bar around 2:00 pm when the slides are busiest

The park isn’t massive, which I actually think is a good thing – you can keep an eye on older kids more easily, and you’re not walking miles between attractions in the heat.

If you’re holidaying in Torrevieja with family, Aquopolis makes for a brilliant day out that gives everyone a break from the beach.
